Profile rails package load capability compactly
A profile rail can carry forces and moments in a compact rectangular envelope, but it depends more directly on the quality and alignment of the mounting surfaces.
Support span changes the answer
An unsupported round shaft can deflect significantly over a long span. A supported shaft or profile rail behaves differently, so compare the full mounted structures rather than only the bearing elements.
Maintenance still matters
Both architectures need the correct surface, lubrication and contamination protection. The right choice depends on environment and service access as well as load.
